To Love-Ru (とらぶる Toraburu?) is a Japanese manga series written by Saki Hasemi, and illustrated by Kentaro Yabuki, creator of Black Cat. The manga was serialized inShueisha's manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump between April 24, 2006 and August 31, 2009; 18 tankōbon volumes have been published in Japan. A drama CD was released in February 2008 with an original story. A 26-episode anime series adaptation by Xebecaired in Japan between April and September 2008. Six original video animation episodes were produced by Xebec between April 2009 and April 2010. A 12-episode second season by Xebec titled Motto To-Love Ru aired between October and December 2010. A video game was released on the Nintendo DS in August 2008, and another game for thePlayStation Portable was released in October 2008.
A continuation of the manga called To Love-Ru Darkness began serialization in Shueisha'sJump Square magazine on October 4, 2010. An anime TV series adaptation for To-Love Ru Darkness produced by Xebec began airing in October 2012. The title, とらぶる(Toraburu?), is the English gairaigo (loan word) "trouble" and "rabu" (ラブ?) is the English loan word "love". The title is a pun on the words "love trouble", which describes the harem aspect of the series.

Plot

The story of To Love-Ru revolves around Rito Yūki, a high-school student who cannot confess to the girl of his dreams, Haruna Sairenji. One day when coming home and sulking in the bathtub, a mysterious, nude girl appears out of nowhere. Her name is Lala and she comes from the planet Deviluke, where she is the heir to the throne. Her father wants her to return to her home planet so she can marry one of the husband candidates. But she decides that she wants to marry Rito in order to stay on Earth. Commander Zastin has been ordered to bring Lala back and has already battled Rito. He reports to the emperor that Rito would be suited to marry Lala, after hearing Rito, who was actually defending himself instead of Lala, say that marriage is impossible unless it is with the person you love. Lala truly falls in love with Rito and decides that she wants to marry Rito after hearing what he said. Her father decides that, if Rito is able to protect Lala from her fiancés, then he can marry her. However, if Rito cannot protect Lala from her other fiancés and meet the king's expectations, Lala's father will kill Rito and destroy the Earth.

Attack on Titan (進撃の巨人 Shingeki no Kyojin?, lit. "Advancing Giants") is a Japanesemanga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The story centers around the lives of Eren Yeager, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert, who live in a world where the remnants of the human population live inside cities surrounded by enormous walls due to the sudden appearance of the Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason. Their lives are changed forever after the appearance of a colossal Titan brings about the destruction of their home town and the death of Eren's mother, spurring them to enter the army to battle the Titans themselves.

An anime television series debuted on April 6, 2013, on MBS.[Note 1] A live action film adaptation is also in production. Four video game adaptations developed by Nitroplusstaffers in collaboration with Production I.G were announced to be released as bonus content for the third and sixth volumes of the Blu-ray Disc release of the anime.

The manga series has become a commercial success, selling over 20 million volumes as of mid 2013. The release of the anime also saw a boost in the series' popularity with several writers critically acclaiming for its atmosphere and story. Although it also gained fame in neighboring Asian countries, the series's themes have been a subject of 

Plot


The series follows the story of Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert. After the outermost wall falls and his mother dies in the resulting destruction, Eren vows revenge against the Titans and later enlists in the military, accompanied by Mikasa and Armin. Years later, during his first battle against the Titans, Eren discovers that he has the ability to transform into a Titan at will. Seen as a threat to mankind by some, and as a ray of hope by others, Eren joins his companions in a desperate fight to protect what remains of their society while looking for answers to the mysteries surrounding the Titans, the Walls and his own existence as well.

Kotoura-san (琴浦さん?) is a Japanese romantic comedy yonkoma manga series written by Enokizu. The series began serialization in Micro Magazine's Manga Gocchamagazine from October 14, 2010. A television anime adaptation by AIC Classic aired from January 11 to March 29, 2013.[1][2]

Plot

Haruka Kotoura is a girl who was born with the ability to read minds. Due to being unable to tell the difference between people's words and thoughts at a young age, she would inadvertently expose people's secrets, leading her to be persecuted and ostracized by her classmates and even abandoned by her parents. This had lead her to become closed off from others in fear of hurting herself and others. This all changes, however, when she transfers into a new high school and meets Yoshihisa Manabe, a dim-witted boy with a perverted imagination. Unfazed by Haruka's ability to read minds, Yoshihisa offers her his friendship and vows to stand by her no matter what. Together, they join their school's ESP Research Society.

Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club


Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club is a Japanese anime television series directed by Hiroko Utsumi and produced by Kyoto Animation and Animation Do. The anime is based on the light novel written by Kōji Ōji, High Speed! (ハイ☆スピード! Hai Supīdo!?), which received an honorable mention in the second Kyoto Animation Award contest in 2011 and later published in July 2013. The anime premiered on July 4, 2013.


Plot

Free! revolves around members of a high school boy's swimming team. Four boys—Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa and Rin—all participated in a swimming tournament shortly before graduating elementary school and later parted ways. Years later, they reunite when Rin challenges Haruka to a race and wins. When Nagisa mentions creating a swimming club, Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa and then later on Rei, form the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club.

4)  Kimi ni Todoke

Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You (君に届け?, lit. Reaching You) is a romance shōjo manga by Karuho Shiina. It has been published by Shueisha in Bessatsu Margaret since 2005 and collected in 18 tankōbon volumes as of January 2013. In 2008, it won the Best Shōjo Manga award in the 32nd Annual Kodansha Manga Award. The series was also nominated for the first Manga Taisho awards in 2008. Two anime adaptations of Kimi ni Todoke were aired in Japan, produced by Production I.G. The second season of the anime was announced in Betsuma Magazine, began airing in Japan on January 4, 2011 and lasted for 12 episodes. A live action film adaptation was released in 2010 starring Mikako Tabe and Haruma Miura.



Plot


Sawako Kuronuma, called Sadako by her classmates for her resemblance to the character from The Ring, has always been feared and misunderstood because of her appearance. There are rumors that Sawako can see ghosts and curse people. However, despite her appearances, she is a sweet and timid girl who longs to be able to make friends with everyone and be liked by everyone else. When her idol, popular boy Kazehaya, begins talking with her, everything changes. She finds herself in a new world, trying to make friends and talking to different people and she can't thank Kazehaya enough for giving her these opportunities. Slowly, but surely, a sweet love blossoms between the two as they overcome circumstances and obstacles that stand in their way.

The Devil Is a Part-Timer! (はたらく魔王さま! Hataraku Maō-sama?, lit. Working Demon King! or Demon Lord at Work!) is a Japanese light novel series written by Satoshi Wagahara, with illustrations by Oniku (written as 029). ASCII Media Works has published eight volumes since February 2011. The story is about a demon king named Satan seeking to conquer the world of Ente Isla but, when confronted by the Hero Emilia Justina, is forced to retreat through a portal that transports him to modern day Tokyo, Japan. To survive and find a way to return to Ente Isla, Satan gains part-time employment at a fast food restaurant. There have been two manga adaptations published by ASCII Media Works in Dengeki Daioh and Dengeki Maoh. A 13-episode anime adaptation produced by White Fox and directed by Naoto Hosoda aired between April and June 2013.


Plot

The Demon Lord and one of his generals, Alciel, escape Ente Isla through a portal to modern Tokyo, Japan after being confronted by the Hero Emilia Justina and her companions. However, due to the lack of magic in the modern contemporary world, both the Demon Lord and Alciel change into forms representing what they would look like if they were human. In order to survive, the Demon Lord takes a part-time job in a fast foodrestaurant named MgRonald while Alciel serves as his houseman. One day, the Demon Lord, who now goes by Sadao Maō, meets a girl who is actually the Hero Emilia, who now goes by Emi Yusa. The story then unfolds and explores the personalities of each of the characters and their moral values. More characters show up from Ente Isla and they too face the new world dilemmas, often comically.

Date A Live (デート・ア・ライブ Dēto A Raibu?) is a Japanese light novel series written by Kōshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako. An anime adaptation series aired on TV from April 6 to June 22, 2013. Each episode was streamed in lower quality on Niconico a week before its TV premiere. Following the end of the first season, a second season was announced.

Plot

Thirty years ago a strange phenomenon called a "spacequake" devastated the center of Eurasia, claiming the lives of at least 150 million people. Since then, smaller spacequakes plague the world on an irregular basis. Shido Itsuka, a seemingly ordinary high schooler comes across a mysterious girl at the ground zero of a spacequake and learns from his sister Kotori she is one of the "Spirits" who are the real cause of the spacequakes that occur when they manifest themselves in the world. He also learns that Kotori is the commander of the airship Fraxinus, crewed by the organization Ratatoskr, and is recruited to make use of his mysterious ability to seal the Spirits' powers thus stopping them from being a threat to mankind. However, there is a catch: to seal a Spirit's power, he must make her fall in love with him and kiss her.

Arata: The Legend (アラタカンガタリ 〜革神語〜 Arata Kangatari?), a Japanese mangawritten by Yuu Watase that began serialization in the manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 2008. The first volume of the series was released in Japan on January 16, 2009.[1] The series has seventeen volumes and is still serialized in Shōnen Sunday.[2] The series is Watase's first shōnen series. It is licensed by Viz Media as part of their Shōnen Sunday imprint.
An anime TV series adaptation produced by Satelight and Korean studio JM Animation began airing on April 9, 2013. [3]

Plot

In a mythical world where humans and gods co-exist, a ceremony marking the new governing princess is about to occur for the first time in 60 years. Only a girl from the Hime Clan may take this position, but the lack of females born to this family means that a boy called Arata must pose for the role. During the ceremony, the Twelve Shinsho, the wielders of special swords called Hayagami, led by Kannagi, betray the princess by trying to kill her and Arata. Arata escapes and runs into the Kando Forest. He emerges from the forest and finds himself in the alley in present day Japan. He has a run-in with the police because he is shirtless but is saved by Nao, a girl who claims to be his sister.

Meanwhile in modern-day Japan, a boy named Arata Hinohara is starting his new life in high school. He wants to put memories of his difficult past behind him, but things aren’t going to be simple when Kadowaki, the bully from his old school, emerges. Kadowaki's bullying continues, and Hinohara discovers that his friend, Suguru, allied with Kadowaki and covered his desk with glue. Feeling angry and betrayed, he walks into an alley, and soon finds that is no longer in Japan, but rather a new world, Amawakuni, the other Arata's home. He is helped by Arata's grandmother and Kotoha, Arata's childhood friend. When Kannagi searches their house, Hinohara comes across a rusted sword and activates its power and becomes a sho. The sword is a Hayagami, or god, named Tsukuyo.
Kotoha gives Hinohara a stone (michihi no tama). He is arrested, and in a jail cell, talks to Arata through the stone. He discovers the truth behind the princess' assassination, and both realize that they are in each other's worlds and being mistaken for each other. Hinohara is speedily tried, found guilty, and exiled to Gatoya Island, a place compared to a living hell. On the trip to the island Kotoha tags along and gives him his Hayagami. Also because of the stones power he is able to talk to the princess (who is just barely alive) and she asks him to govern the world as otherwise there will only be war and bloodshed.
On the Gatoya, he meets two friends, Kanate and Ginchi, who try to steal his belongings and Kotoha. Kotoha soon disappears, and Hinohara, desperate to find her, trades everyday items from Japan for information. He discovers that Tsutuga, the warden of Gatoya Island, is a sho, and confronts him. Hinohara learns that Tsutuga was betrayed and empathizes with him. Tsutsuga decides to give his Hayagami to Hinohara, and becomes one with his Hayagami. Hinohara uses his new power to then restore the island. He and Kotoha escape with their new friends, Kanate and Ginchi, to the mainland to restore order and save the princess.

Karneval (カーニヴァル?) is a Japanese manga series by Touya Mikanagi, originally starting serialization in the monthly josei manga magazine Monthly Comic Zero Sumpublished by Ichijinsha in early 2008. There are currently eleven volumes released in Japan. An anime adaptation was announced in April 2012[1] and premiered on April 3, 2013.[2]


Plot

Nai searches for someone important to him, with only an abandoned bracelet as a clue. Gareki steals and pick-pockets to get by from day to day. The two meet in a strange mansion where they are set up, and soon become wanted criminals by military security operatives. When Nai and Gareki find themselves desperate in a hopeless predicament, they encounter none other than the country's most powerful defense organization, "Circus".


9) Kuroko No Basket

Kuroko's Basketball, known as Kuroko no Basuke (黒子のバスケ?, officially translated as The Basketball which Kuroko Plays) in Japan, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. It began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump in December 2008. Kuroko no Basuke tells the story of a high school basketball team trying to make it to the national tournament. An anime adaptation by Production I.G began airing on April 7, 2012, and it ceased airing on September 22, 2012.[1]


Plot

The basketball team of Teikō Middle School rose to distinction by demolishing all competition. The regulars of the team became known as the "Generation of Miracles". After graduating from middle school, these five stars went to different high schools with top basketball teams. However, a fact few know is that there was another player in the "Generation of Miracles": a phantom sixth man. This mysterious player is now a freshman at Seirin High, a new school with a powerful, if little-known, team. Now, Kuroko Tetsuya, the sixth member of the "Generation of Miracles", and Kagami Taiga, a naturally talented player who spent most of middle school in the US, are aiming to bring Seirin to the top of Japan, taking on Kuroko's former teammates one by one.
